They have appeared on ABC TV’s Sunday Arts program, had many performances streamed live on the web around the world and have been recorded many times for broadcast on ABC Classic FM and 3MBS FM.

The Byron Bay Film Festival is an initiative of the Byron Community and Cultural Centre and local filmmakers. The Byron Bay and Northern NSW region is home to many filmmakers and so when the inaugural Byron Bay Film Festival was held in February 2006 we focused solely on Australian films and the back catalogue of our local filmmakers. Byron Bay is a magnet for people from all around the globe and so it seemed fitting that BBFF should metamorphosis into an International Film Festival in its second year.

In 2007 our festival featured over 100 films from 24 different countries, including 46 Australian premieres and 15 world premieres. Byron Bay’s international reputation encouraged filmmakers from China, Sri Lanka, the USA & the UK to attend the festival.

Update No 1 July 7

G’day All,

Due to the fact that when Shoalhaven Caravan Club were hosting the 2009 State Rally, there were very late

or no notification of cancelled bookings for that Rally, the NSW Association of Caravan Clubs have

requested us to advise all clubs attending the 2010 State Rally, that a progress payment system should be

invoked.

This means that ALL Club members attending, including those on the waiting lists, will be required to pay

the full price of the Rally Fee in two (2) further installments. These payments are programmed to be paid

by July 31st 2009, $30, and the balance, $34, by November 30th 2009.

We would prefer that we receive one (1) cheque from each Club attending, made payable to

SUMMERLAND CARAVAN CLUB Inc. as this will involve less paperwork for us. This means that

each Club is responsible for the collection of the Rally Fee from your members by the due date.

Any cancellations received up until February 1st 2010, will receive favourable consideration, as this will

enable us to offer this position to others on the waiting list, however, for cancellations after this date,

refunds will be at the discretion of the NSW Association of Caravan Clubs Inc.

We trust that you understand the reasoning behind this ruling, but it does make it much fairer on those on

the waiting list giving them a more reasonable time to make their Rally arrangements.

With regard to the final number of sites available, Ballina Council, the operators of the Park, are still in the

process of redesigning the layout of the park and we expect a positive response in the near future.

Knowing Councils this could be a couple of months. I certainly hope this will be well before the final

payment is due in November.

With your November payment we need to know 2 things, your members arrival and departure dates (site

fees are $20/night additional to Rally Fee) and we need to know the overall length of their van, from

drawbar to any attachment that you may have on the back of your van (bikes, boxes, spare wheels etc.)

"On the road again."
